78 Ifugao wood bowl with scalloped edges, 28 cm diameter. Inside rather worn but shiny black patina outside, antique. Such a bowl was used to serve rice wine or special food and is called a "dayu". (Cf. Anderson, Indigenous Art of the Northern Philippines, fig. 258-260)
